Nothing to Say

     A writer without a pencil or pen 
back in the day  
was not getting read 
it’s a whole new world today 
     A poet had to put in his time 
every letter had to perfectly rhyme 
do you understand what I’m saying 
     A crook had to pay off the cops 
every one has to do a good job 
and then look  the other way 
     A writer without a pencil or pen 
Has no voice 
he has 
nothing to say
