NOTRE DAME CATHEDRAL

A newsflash at around six o'clock UK time
A disaster occurred which compelled me to rhyme
Notre Dame cathedral has stood proudly with its spire
Since the 12th century but today caught fire

Heartbreaking news for the people of France
Part of history destroyed forever in this life of chance
Plumes and plumes of smoke filled the sky
Investigations will be made for the reason why

Priceless pieces of art were trapped inside
Trying to be rescued before they are fried
Why should a disaster like this occur ?
Mon Dieu Mon Dieu Mon Dieu

It's awfully sad that happened. A piece of history lost forever. I always wanted to go visit that place...
