November's Early Kiss

November's Early Kiss

A symphony of brilliant red
October weaves with crimson thread.
Those early weeks of blushing trees
And yellow-orange leaves can ease
A wistful man to reminisce
About his years of youthful bliss.

But once October's leaves are shed,
November can be seen ahead.
It brings along the shorter days,
With downy snow and morning haze,
Which pleases all who long for this—
To feel November's early kiss.
