November's Early Kiss

November's Early Kiss

A symphony of brilliant red
October weaves like silken thread.
Those budding weeks of blushing trees
And yellow-orange leaves can ease
An aging mind to reminisce
About the years of youthful bliss.

But once October's leaves have spread,
November can be seen ahead.
It brings along the shorter days
Of downy snow and morning haze,
Which pleases all who long for this—
To feel November's early kiss.
