Poem -
now
I seemed to have lost
my desire to write
maybe because
pressure has battened me down
and real life is much larger
than passed events...
I have to take a break
and deal with consiquence..
however it is good
I guess the sun has shone
on the richeous one
by mistake..
there will be a short interval
trust you have pre ordered you drinks

Know what you mean Pauline. It's a bit early in the year for Ibiza but there are some great UK punk festivals coming up. Would pogoing help?
ha ha.. my niece is a punk rock star..bless her..New Age Punk..I got to spend time with some punk icons last year also, ( I like the quieter ones ) my little sis was a punk rocker from school she was allowed at 15 to catch trains and go to gigs..at our age now we have been lucky to meet some of the stars of that time, through my niece..isnt life strange..Babylons Burning ok..
Oh wow, what is your nieces name? One of my oldest mates is Nigel Martin who still fronts The Extraverts. He also promotes the No More Heroes 4 punkfest in wonderful High Wycombe the true birthplace of British Punk.

The Duel...
Hi Pauline, just been listening to The Duel "Troubled England". Very reminiscent of early P J Harvey and that is about the highest compliment I can pay to anyone. Fantastic. PUNK AIN'T DEAD.
No More Heroes is a fantastic one day punkfest now on its fourth outing. The venue is excellent, it's an old church that is now an arts centre. Church acoustics and church space but with a good bar and filled up with punks and other muso types. A great day out if you can set aside a week for recovery.
NMH4 is fully booked bands wise but Nigel Martin is taking band applications for NMH5 now. If Tara is interested the easiest way is to just go to the Extraverts facebook page and all the info is there.
Oh and Pauline, tell Tara that it's 'cos you're a great poet that she has now got a brand new fan.
I will, hopefully when I get to Camden in June, for a short holiday in London. It is surprising what poetry brings forth..
I see they are listed on that site, it think I have read it before on her page..The Phoenix club..the 100 club, some road in London that they tried to save from closing shops down..Punk for Mental Health seems to be the latest ..and homelessness. Really some good issues coming forth..
