Numb

I'm Numb walking in an empty
dream
On auto-pilot, my mind so serene
I walk around with my head hung low and 
a frown on my face so no one notices 
me
Afraid if they saw who I am inside-they 
would know I am truly lonely
Not wanting to find that special love, 
that special connection
For fear of being shunned, for fear of 
being rejected
If it's meant to be, I know the Lord will 
bring me my special somebody eternally
