O Jerusalem

Lord 
   Lord of truth 
In this tunnel of darkness 
 Death is here 
Amidst the cockroaches of the earth 
  Seeking sanctuary in your arms 
        Giver of life 
    Seeker of God 
   Lord 
Today I am flying into heaven 
   Time is up here 
 Upon planet earth 
     In this monastic gown 
I seek comfort 
   In the Lord thy God 
      Water 
    Upon these feet 
         Seeker of sanctuary of life 
 Annointed by the Pope
      Of the Vatican House
         In these tunnels dark 
 Murder, pure murder 
   Light and dark contrast 
 Truth and falsehood exist 
     Scars and healing 
          Remorse and redemption 
   Life and death 
       Breath and non breath
 Religion and non - 
         In time and place 
Standing still motion 
   Before God 
Lord 
   King of the universe 
        Lighter of the candle 
Fire and ice 
    Stillness and 
Noise 
   West towards 
 East is our journey towards 
Jerusalem
