Obey (Inspired by Hamlet "To be...")

To obey, or not to obey: that is the question:
Whether it’s easy to follow the orders and
Keep going on with it
Or to oppose the orders
And go my way.
To disobey: to be free
No more; and to be free to end
The burden of responsibility and
Thousand stop signs my way.
To disobey: to be free
To be free: out of responsibility: ay, there’s the problem.
For in that free life may come obstacles.
The love you miss from the loved ones
The caring you loose of being alone
Or too much freedom might be boredom.
For who really wants to listen to orders.
The commands that come your way,
The directions to be followed every day.
The requests of a person that cannot be dismissed.
When the law is to be submitted;
While authority cannot be terminated.
Thus society keeps all from disobedience;
The praise one gets from obeying
And the blessings that are yet to come
From the darkness of disobedience
Omitting the natural law is inhumane
And lose the respect of a human.

Annie, nice to read you, this is really superb....I've memorized that Hamlet soliloquy and this is the first time I've read a poem inspired by it, great idea by the way....impressive work, enjoyed looking forward to reading more from you
