Obsession

Obsession

When you breathe
Particles of you are expired
Tiny carbon atoms wearing your mark,
Your experience, thoughts and feelings,
Vanish into thin air mixing with mine
In a mysterious dance.
Perfect molecules, flying together,
Forever recycled.

I wish I could bathe in your carbon dioxide,
Filling my lungs with your being,
Ready to die intoxicated
But embalmed in your essence.

The thought of you leaving fills me with anger,
Stay a bit longer!
Enough for me
To catch your last breath
In a golden recipient,
Like a widow with ashes.
And they go away
With no shade of remose.
I will stay.

Forget me and leave me
Adoring these ethereal relics
Of our love.
