Poem -
Occasional violent dreaming
(If love were a dream)
Occasional violent dreaming.
Not yet nightmarish but with a girl
Lit dark in a car. A book shop
You can't find anything to read in.
By the light of day there will be
Sheets soaked in sweat,
Breakfast will be missed for a too-early
Alcoholic drink or a poem you write
People will say is beautifully haunting.
Then there will be analysis.
First car you see reminds you
Of the darkly lit girl in your dream.
You'll want to think it means this
When it means that.
You'll want to believe it has to do with love.

That's a nightmare in itself
Like being surrounded by water unable to drink it. Love your last lines too, I'm a person who says it as it is but there are certainly those who prefer to use puzzles, or even poets who write poems about others who are actually physically here. It's a sly world and we should all take care not to be tricked by friends or lovers.

I guess we all have to find time and entertainment so it certainly depends what is being read. Basically the readers have to get enjoyment and must be a thing of interest that is in the reading, otherwise of course it will probably be passed by. 🌹
