Poem -

October Short

There was something understated in your essence.
Something sorrowful—sweet too.
You still swirl biliously in my stomach, but I keep you down.

I put on a new dress for you—sometimes I still do.
You fingertrace constellations on my back, but it's all in my head.
I can't remember your smell because I never came that close.

I love you from a tear-soaked telescope.

Hi Brittany, there are some breathtaking lines in this beautiful poem,

´´You fingertrace constellations on my back, but it´s all in my head.´´

``I love you from a tear-soaked telescope.´´

powerfully moving, the reference to the stars and sadness in longing I found to be particularly touching, especially at this time of year.
Cutting edge writing in tune with the emotions of many.

Thank you! xx
