OF ANIMALS....

It is there
​​​​​​Within the deepest pools of eyes
Placed perfectly 
Above a wet inquisitive nose
And
In the the paw
Placed firmly
And gently on my knee
That I find it
The purest 
Most selfless love 
In all the world.
And I am grateful
For the gift.
