Well...see now...
I could write about...

Last Sunday's dinner
Which you did not attend or
The presents and birthday cards
You never send
All those long phone calls that
You do not make
Or the fridge, still rammed full of
Your fave cheesy bake

But there's only myself here to
read what's been writ, by a pen
too well versed in this old
maudlin script
So maybe, just maybe I'll go back
to bed
Rest my broke heart
from all sons that areΒ 
Dead.
