sears our tired eyes

The heartbreak
of humanity is relentless
It does make one question

God's very existence
Is he fact or fiction?

Is he even a he
these gender neutral days?

How can there be 
so much dysfunction
in it's flawed creation?

God is love?

God is perfect?

Where's the damn evidence?

Maybe the Lord has a plan
we were never meant to fathom
of perhaps our defective species
was just a rough draft
of a future better crafted production
somewhere else
in this vast Universe?
