OFON SINGS

A TRIBUTE TO MY DON

OFON SINGS

OFON SINGS

                                                                                 O.
On angels wings my soul did fly
To my eternal home beyond the skies
It's a place of peace and tranquility
Where a heavenly mansion
Was created just for me

                                                                                  F.
From sea to shining sea I had roamed
Lending a helping hand as I go
Driven by my passion of love and care
I comforted many in their times of fear

                                                                                   O.
Over the years
Many times my name was called
And in my limited strength and humanity
I tried to respond with love and kindness
To them all

                                                                                   N.
Now the ultimate voice has called my name
And I've answered Yes!
Here I am
He beckons to me
From that holy city on high
To rest from all my labors
In a garden of paradise
Beyond the skies

This is my song of freedom
These are my words of goodbye.

RIP OFON.

Wilford,

as i clicked from page to page, looking to find the first of your poems posted here, a good place to start reading you of course. i found that you are very prolific and so in time I slowed my clicking down a bit to note the titles and get a sense of what you write about .... before I reached the beginning, I found this one and as it happens, as fate happens, OFFAN SINGS has something in common with my poem, the one you commented on, "feeling the Clyde". I enjoyed the read and the message very much.

I will, as time permits me visiting Cosmo, click to read your "others'. I look forward to those moments.

Hello Mark.
Such beautiful flowers cast of my feeble thoughts.
Thank you so much for your kindness.
You have made my day.
Peace and love.
