Poem -

“Oh dear Lord Amen” ?

“Oh dear Lord Amen” ?

I know not of religion
but “Oh dear Lord...Amen”
In moments of sheer desperation
I find myself praying yet again
I guess I am not the only one to admit this realisation
Yet where else is there to turn to amidst my bellyache of botheration

“Halleluyah” he has heard me from his castle in the sky
In amongst my silent whispers when I let my invocation cry
Alas I was woed with worriment
my heart and soul did reason why
I thought the world had forsaken me of that I cannot lie

Was it mystical or magical when my calling cries were heard ?
I was astounded betwixt astonishment yet I did not say a word
You see the hypothesis of faithfulness is the fidelity of belief
My prayers were acknowledged in my moments of grief
