“Oh what a crying shame”

“Oh what a crying shame”

On the long rocky road to nowhere I started on my trail as a northerly wind was boisterously blowing a seven force gale
Dam I could hardly stand nevermind walk betwixt the hills in the valley that were streaked with chalk
But I had to plod on I didn’t have a choice as the wild, chilly air grated my voice

What a day to be walking without an aim yet I was stuck in no man’s land “Oh what a crying shame”
Of course I hadn’t got the foggiest where on earth I was about and the elements were angry without any shadow of a doubt
Yes I actually had a local map but my ordnance survey skills are crap!!
So as I surged on I searched for a sign to navigate me back to my coastline

Well would you Adam and Eve it I never found a clue so I got myself in an awful tizz from this hullabaloo
Then all of a sudden and from out of the blue I spied swooping Seagulls amidst my view
“Cormorants” I thought with glee
“This means that I cannot be far away from the sea”
So I got a sudden spring in my step coz I knew I had to be right as I climbed up a little hill I saw a wonderful sight

There in the distance but not too far away was the deep blue splenderous salty sea
Well what an awe inspiring delight
had some higher powers guided me ?
Mind you my feet were worn out and starting to get sore 
I must have walked almost twenty miles or more
But at last I was welcomed within my house with a “WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN!!” from
my irate spouse
