“Oh what a crying shame!!”

This morning I’ve got cabin fever yet I am not on a ship
It’s this dam isolation I’ll have to get a grip
I will play a game of scrabble all by myself and I can see dominoes and playing cards up on my shelf
But there is only so much one can do stuck in one’s own house 
It becomes boring with just me and my spouse

We are pacing the floor getting in each others way 
I can tell this is going to be a very long day
Looking out of the window everything seems fine tho there’s only people solo walking by so I guess that is a sign
When I reminisce from last year at all the holidays I had 
They were my 60 th birthday surprises when we travelled like mad

Little did we know that in a few months or so the world would be at a standstill with no where to go
But I guess we are all in a historic moment tho at this minute in time that doesn’t feel like a bestowment
Isolation is not a pleasurable perception 
One has a feeling of friendlessness within a consciousness conception
“Hey ho” tho I realise everybody is the same stuck in solitary confinement “Oh what a crying shame!!”
