Of a daughters heart,
Daddy’s always on guard
One day he’ll have to let up,
But it’s going to be hard
Be so far from easy,
Get foot past his gate
He’s dreading that big moment, 
She goes on her first date
But she’s a rare anomaly,
Makes her choices wisely
Is forever with that first one,
Wouldn’t even surprise me
Daddy’s counting himself lucky,
Should have a few more minutes
Till that walk up to the door step,
Where he’ll be laying down his limits
