Poem -

Old

Getting on….

Old

Old

I feel it now
Getting old
I feel now how
It’s…not all gold

I feel it more
Since yesterdayĀ
I’d rather stay
Than go ’n' play

It’s not so bad
Don’t get me wrong
I’m really gladĀ
I’ve lived this longĀ

I travelled ā€˜roundĀ
By thumb 'n' car
Slept under bridgesĀ
In Florida

My pal Hohner
Tagging along
We’re always kissing
When blues come on

Been to rehab
Eyes wide open
We’re all in a struggleĀ
We’re all a bit brokenĀ

I got to see
Niagara Falls
I got to hear
The lovebird call

I sweetly weepedĀ
Obama’s win
And lived to see
Him win again

I feel it now
Growing old
All my memoriesĀ
Just pure gold

Thank you Marion,Ā
You caught the exact direction,
had an older relative thought I was complaining not at all…
first line was just a passing thought of the physical deteriorationšŸ˜€
