OLD EYES

OLD EYES

It feels like a lifetime since you last held my hand
I was sad back then but you made me feel grand

Sitting here now thinking back...
By the side of the road

You were shoveling crap!

I ate ice creams In front of the poor
They smiled at me as I ate more

Hot plains and coconut trees
Cool hill stations with an evening breeze
Carrying fruits in wicker basket
People in rickshaws around colorful markets.
Tea plantations and fireflies

You India seen through my

Old eyes.
