OLD IS GOLD

Old is gold is a Czech saying which is very true 
Although it's also nice to have something new 
Let's consider a moment why I think old is gold 
Past generations were more polite so I'm told 

The movies were better in years gone by 
They could make you feel sad and want to cry 
The artists and painters back in yesteryear 
Could paint and draw things so very clear 

In sport like football it was a lot better too 
I think George Best expressed this point of view 
So all these facts make things very clear 
Old is gold is so very precious and dear
