OLD MAN

The future ahead looks bleak the old man said 

Nobody listened as he got out of bed 

The killing and bombs in the name of war 

The old man thought we have been here before 

Why should innocent people die 

For the love of God he wonders why 

The old man is 80 his life near it's end 

Whatever happened to mate chum and friend 

So as the old man gets up for another day 

Wondering what will happen in the world today 

He puts on the news and hears of another disaster 

He shakes his head as we are destroying our world faster and faster
