Poem -
On Concupiscence
If it is within the desires of men
To savor sensuality
And to receive still greater consolation
From Godly delights
Then, despise the things of this world
Renounce
All vile pleasures
For, they will turn into
The wings of angels,
And copious consolation will be
Yours...
The carnal will tempt
And then, invite you
But it is prayer
Which carries the power
Of the Word,
And the Love of God's
Strength of wisdom,
And guidance,
Devoid,
Of guile...

Your last few works have a real intensity coming from a reflective mood and contemplation of spirituality. Your relationship with God and faiths affect seems to be at the forefront of your mind. This is producing excellent pieces to evaluate perceptions.

I absolutely LOVE your comments brother poet!!......VERY insightful .....and inย response to your kindness I WILL say this......I have been through 15 surgeries (3 major ~ 12 minor)..... and consequently have spent many, many, hours alone in bed...... contemplating whether or not my existence has even mattered..... and that question has been a driving force for me....... of course there is MUCH more that could be conveyed here..... but that has been "the tip of the iceberg" ~ so to speak..... but I do VERY much appreciate the unspoken concern my friend......"I Am In Repair"........ smiles........ thank you for this SIR WATERS!!.......I can feel you!!....... ttyl........T xo.ย ?

My Dear Brother Poet Tony,
I must admit, I have always been an adversary of the edict that Priests must take the Vows of Celibacy, refraining from all sexual pleasure. ย Why are Ministers and Rabbis allowed to wed, have families, and go forth to replenish the earth with God's children, while this archaic principle so dominates some religion? Can a man who loves and beds a woman, not honor God with the same veracity, that does a man of abstinence? ย Has this not been a breeding ground to profess their love for God, but truly love young boys? ย What is the true path to preach the Lord's Gospel?
