On Frost Nights

On frost nights
When stars call
And everything blessed
Is cared for and lulled
When all by a fireside
Are gratefull and warm
And thankful for shelter and love

Then...
A moon might light corners
On the curves of an earth
Searching out souls
Made apart since their birth
To clothe them in shadows
As lonely they go
While owl calls out sister
To all
Making footprints
On snow
