ON HER OWN NOW

Feel sorry for Liz she's lost her Phil today
Part of her life I guess is taken away
Seventy four years wed is a very long time
Here is my tribute to him by way of a rhyme

I'm not a royalist I will just make that clear
Still upsetting he won't get a telegram this year
Phil made some gaffes and errors in his life
Some directed at cultures and others at his wife

However Liz and Phil still remained together
Always so British like crumpets and the weather
Now Liz has lost her soulmate and best friend
Love and best wishes the nation will duly send
