Poem -
" ON SUSPICION CREEPING "
Suspicion ~
Is like a disease
Creeping into the mind,
Posing as thoughts,
Where it spreads into every form
Of self expression...
Suspicion ruins
Negotiations for peace,
Bleeding jealousy and hatred
Into perfectly balanced partnerships,
Boiling over added wrath
From warmongers and maniacs,
Poisoning even
Clear blue,
Holy water...
It disposes governments to hypocrisy
And seeps, secretly
Into the kisses of lovers,
It lays in wait
Preparing to bloom into a false façade,
A greening tree of suspicion,
Whose rotting roots
Invade the immune system,
And manifests itself
As a dark disease,
Perpetually,
Creeping...

Unfortunately, in this world gone mad, suspicion, for the people who control it, has to be a number one priority. To quote an old cliché, "beware of the person who will pat you on the back with one hand, and pick your pocket with the other". So many broken promises; so many broken pacts; so many unpunishable acts of treason. In this day and age, todays' promises, are tomorrows' lies. Suspicion is an absolute must when one has been so betrayed by placing trust. Great write my dear poetic brother!
