On that lonely shelf
It’s a sorry situation feeling fed up of oneself, those little voices on your shoulder sit you on that lonely shelf..and your own insecurities make you so dam paranoid, when you are your worst enemy and your self esteem is destroyed..
You have told yourself that you are not good enough, giving yours truly a real hard time and your whole world is tough..Why on earth can’t you start to believe in yourself, take a good look in the mirror and get off that self critical shelf..Negativity never ever does anyone any good,it only has the potential to plummet your spirits and make you in a bad mood..Get out into the great outdoors, inhale that lovely clean, fresh air..feel the morning sun on your face and the wonderful wind in your hair..

Yea knock that guy off your shoulder! Once I had the chance to snow ski and I was teaching my daughter. We came to a steep short run and she paused in fear. I said go across the hill not straight down and she was still paused. Finally I said just take your skis off and walk down. Then all of a sudden she was right beside me. I asked how she was able to do that. She said she got so mad "she slammed the door on fear"! lol! nice poem!.................Jim
