On The Ground

On the ground I lay
So still
That the bugs around
Feel so safe
To prance upon my skin

And I 
Without fear of their bite
Revel in their confidence
And security in me

And I feel welcome
In their world
Which I imagine
Is the same as they

I am the landscape 
The mountain range 
The crevice and peak
For their little legs to roam

Just as man on this earth
We, so small,
Only know but to wander
