On the season’s turn

On the season’s turn

“Good evening Mr Frost are you feeling alright whilst everything youv’e touched is hard and icy white..don’t you ever feel the cold seeping thru your skin as you stand in zero temperatures,  we have to take it on the chin

As I opened my curtains, I saw you were there, everything was a pearly palette, hard as iron everywhere..tho don’t you know it is still Autumn ? Winter isn’t upon us yet..was that a reminder from last winter of the colder it’s going to get ? your dripdrops of freeze shivers in the Autumn breeze and solidifies pretty patterns from your minus zero degrees

But that doesn’t bother us, we shall wrap up warm so your hoarfrost rime doesn’t do us any harm..whilst we have seen you before, we shall see you again..we will survive Jack Frost as you wax and wane..tho your strength may be strong as you chill to the bone, with the bitter north winds blowing, you shall not be alone

Alas the golden garlands of leaves on the trees have fallen and scattered in the late Autumn breeze.. they are gathering and withering on the seasons turn, with the blessing betwixt the wrath of winter’s yearn..we are humans after all with the courage to cope, where there is love, there will always be hope.

A Lonely Journey

Jillopy,
Truly a wonderful write, young lady! I loved that.
It's beautifully written and has many levels of emotion and meaning to it.
Very nice, Jillian!
Matthew.

PS. I'd love to smash Mr. Frost in the knee with an icicle and see how he likes it. I'm not a big fan of winter. It wouldn't be that bad if it was warm, and there was no snow, and it didn't get dark at 2:00 in the afternoon, but other than that I dislike it.
Great job. M.

I know! Me, too!
It seems like it's colder when the temperature is lower than it was previously, doesn't it? Maybe it's just me.
I once built a snowman that looked exactly like Ernest Borgnine.

Hi Jill...these colder months get to my neuropathy and arthritis and cause such pain...The idea of snuggling up with someone  you love to be warm sounds good though...I love your ending line.  We can cope because of love bringing hope.  ;)  Love n Hugs, xo
