On This Website

I got on this website
To be me, myself, and I
To express my feeling
Threw a device
But it seems to be
Worth nothing
People look at my story
Then take advantage of me
I always found that a mystery
Because I didn't do
Anything wrong
Some even look at my
Profile picture
Then they're like,
Hey, Mister
May I have a little too
What about, no
I don't even know you
I find it repulsive
That all they want is a pic
And not my personality
Well, you ain't getting a thing
You don't even know me
Now get over your disbelief
I got on this website
To be me, myself, and I
And I know some of you
Will probably lie
So I'm done
Trying to be nice

I encourage any poet, writer or author to be themselves, Joseph. If you can't be true to yourself how can you expect to be true to anyone else?
But being a poetâthus more than likely an overtly sensitive individual as I myself amâ you have to be able to take comments and critique with a grain of salt.
In other words, don't take every comment quite so seriously.
You must be able to handle a little teasing and ribbing once in a while.
You cannot be thin-skinned. Not if you're going to bare your soul for all to see.
Trust me.
I know.
Look, I for one am very glad you're here.
I wish you nothing but success.
