Poem -

once candle loved the dark

once candle loved the dark

a candle, fragile and sweet

fell in love with dark , in deep silence of sunsets they used to meet

candle loved dark for no reasons

she used to burn in his presence for so many seasons

she waited for him to come and cover in his wide arms

her golden yellow flaims danced when he touched her,

dark one day told her that burning herself to admire his presence had no charms...

he could not see her finishing at all

for he was infinite and she was small

she reluctant to leave him , her all wax burned

her remains still sing the song of her love that couldn`t be turned

everynight when its time for dark to come..

he remembers her sweet love, her flames , her songs some......

though many more candles are there to come in dark`s life.

but the spark of the love always remains bright..

love is beyond time ...

its the eternal light and poem`s rhyme....

that remains always.........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice poem, I guess the candle is a truest  poet of all times, until one night comes to steal her flame away.

Greetings Anaahita,

That one first love will, always be the one always remembered and mimicked by no other, Though memories last forever, never to be packed away or forgotten...A love that will last forever even though the flickering, flirtness of the candle has transformed, never to be caressed or held, as a whole by he,
once again, only to be remembered through her song and engulfed memories, (by he) forever ....

Great poem,

Jim
