Once Few

How could I write the rhythm

How I contend with this O how

I once was told there are few

I once I did I saw I flew

To write the verse within me knew

To write the verse within me new

O how could I of eyes be renewed

O how could eye of eyes be

I once saw the pen

I once I did I saw the few

To hear the words come off the page

To hear the word come of the age

How should I pause inside the rhyme

How I instill the song O how

I once felt a thought

I once I did I saw the pen

To who do I owe this I found

To whom did find his own I found

O how this is asked O how

O how I asked O how

I once was once the few

I once I did I saw I flew
