Once Upon A Heartbeat.....

Once upon a heartbeat,
I had a heart as soft as cotton,
Incased in fragile glass.
The vibrations of my heart beat,
has broken it so many times.
In moments of sadness,
I can hear the cracks,
but as the cotton like texture starts to harden them,
I become immune to the ghosts of the past.
Who stole a piece everytime I opened my heart,
Mental time travel,
to retrieve what belonged to me.
Life line heartbeats,
which pumped the blood into my lungs so I could breathe.
In sync with the rhythm of life, happiness & love.
Plus unused loyalty receipts.
Ventricular, arterial evolution,
more powerful than before. 
For the movement of blood through my veins,
can never be turned cold once more.
A beacon of sunshine,
a rise from the ashes,
a symbolic phoenix is born,
everytime my heart has been broken by a masked fool.
So there is strength in sorrow,
happiness found in the dark.
A reflection of beauty,
which distracts from the scars.
The scars of lessons,
I allowed to break my heart apart.
The magic of heartbeats,
with it's spiritual power,
sewed all the pieces back together.
Transcending me to a higher power,
connecting me to my consciousness,
I am able to fly,
above whatever tried to destroy me,
as I learned a different path.
The one that will lead me to the soul,
whose heart beats just like mine.........
