One Day I May Fly

This house is not my heart
My heart lies at home
Where one with nature I can be
By myself alone
There's naught but trees and earth and sky
Where on weightless wings
One day I may fly
O'er the mountains
Tall and strong
Withholding secrets inside
As beneath the bipolar clouds I'd glide
At peace where I belong
O'er the ever moving ocean's
Briny blue
watching as on water sunlight glistens
And on airy wings to whispering winds I'd listen
Whilst thinking about you
O'er the bounds of the earth
Free of gravity
Nothing holding down my wings
My beak open as I sing
With no emotions, save for you, to bind me.
O'er the trees and endless ground
Through the air
Id fly; oh how high I'd go!
Through rain, sleet thunder and snow-
Til gravity has left me there.
Not weighed down
Free at last! Away from people,
Calamity and class
This house where here I sit
It is not a home
It is confined and
Claustrophobic
no one here but me to find
This house is not my heart
My heart lies with at home
Where one with nature I can be
By myself, alone.
Naught but trees and earth and sky
Where on weightless wings one day I may fly.
