One Day I'll Miss That

No way,
Could I regret a turn
upon my path
to fork this way
that I have come.
Put a limit
on craziness,
to think it's for most
and yet not for some.
A bit selfish
when impassing self
upon the young,
never lost on a lonely one.
Watch 'em through
each night and day
learning love
in simple ways,
Cherishing moments.
We'd unknowingly live for,
true meanings of forever
weird remembrances I'd adore
pushing further
towards a lie.
For some reason no longer,
I could not be that lucky guy
when doing me
is taken so well
hopeless future show and tell.
Await life parts,
into rewarding sections
adapting with age,
such coolness about changing
we're better together by rage.
Adversity dream,
staying the same persists
let the mind be escape
for that's there where our time exists.
Teaching thee which has taught me lessons before,
embrace of welcome home hug
toys littering the floor.
We'll smile brightly
in awe at what they become
for the moment they're here,
and then they're gone.
Once again remembering
years go fast have to look back
it's human nature's happiness sad.....
That one day, I'll miss that.

It's embracing future and change yet we bound through it fruitlessly, I learn more about moments that can be so much more powerful and cherished than easily sitting back in these times. I will truly be sad when these times have gone and I believe this write help cement my feelings about it. Glad you got to read this brother and I hope all is well with you and yours for now Im good here. Peace.
Beautiful, so happy to see new works!

Hello Devon...
I wasn't allowed any toys in my room...
My Mother was very strict on that...
I had to play in a small area on the porch or if it was too cold or too hot I had to play in a small area in the basement...
I couldn't take my porch toys to the basement or from the basement to the porch...
ββββI think my kids tried to hide their beds...
I told them it wouldn't work because, I knew where I put it...
Mommy they would say read us a story...
I would but, I don't have enough health insurance that would cover me tripping on your stuff to get to you...
Mommy, we made you a Path, it's safe now...
People thought they didn't have a toy box, that was another adventure...
Very true, I do miss it...
I never thought back then I would say that...
Great write!
Thank you sharing, Thank you for the memories!
