One Final Rhyme

Sometimes as we travel along.
This road that is our life.
We hit a bump that doesn't belong.
One that causes a simple strife.
Now as I try to simulate.
The meaning of these words.
My mind it starts to stimulate.
Then words soar like a flock of birds.
Now my mind starts to wonder.
Thinking back through our time.
Here I sit and ponder.
For you one final rhyme.
It is but a simple story.
There will be no "Ever After"
In it you'll find no glory.
Though you may just hear my laughter.
With true sight i now see.
Deep in my heart i know.
This lie you pretend to be.
Ti's naught but a nifty show.
Though fear not for your little ploy.
For I'll not name your name.
Yet my heart will find some joy.
For you know to whom i blame.
Alas, I am the clown.
For surely the jokes on me.
Yet my face does hold no frown.
Nor does my heart lack any glee.
Still the ending does hold true.
What a crying shame.
For in the end twas you.
Whom played me like a game.
Like a snake hidden in a sack.
You found your prey to slay.
Then after the daggers in my back.
You slithered upon your way.
Please know that i do feel sorrow.
For i have one simple regret.
Now to you i say I'm sorry.
For the fact that we ever met.
