One For the Lovers

In a 96 season of spring flooded air

I absorbed your fine perfume

Put flowers in your hair

We danced with all watching

Clouds, trees and avian angels

Just you and I to a rapturous melody

No longer strangers

And free of all dangers

We lay on the carpet of grass with no shame

And I whispered sweet nothings

At the end of your name

Our ears tingled hot

and our hearts fluttered too

It was a blissful equation

Just me and you
