One little thank you ?

When I rescued you from solace did you care
After I found your self esteem that wasn’t there
Did you even notice me
As I helped your sanity
When I saved you from the demons in your head

You were desperate with tears rolling down your face
In the deepest, darkest scariest of place
So you called me on your phone
You were distitute, all alone
Then I rushed & smothered you in my embrace

Yet did you ever think about me
Since you packed your things & wanted to be free
I had fallen in love with you
Now I’m left feelin’ so blue
& I haven’t got a clue what I did do

Just one little thank you would be good
Some appreciation for your gratitude 
I’m not asking for too much
Only a greatfulness as such
Maybe call on me when your in the neighbourhood
