One manufacturer's treasure is a consumer's junk

24 empty circles
Outlined in ivory
They hang in my kitchen

24 gateways of possibility
4 by 6
Each one to fill with imagination
Or ingenuity

I can hook things there
Or fill them with dimensions of my mind

They could host icons:
Saints in minature

They could frame flower portraits
Or the leaves of herbs

I might roll up tea towels
And slot them inside

Or we may insert bottles diagonal
Hanging in the balance

French-white thread laces around metal rings;
Holes that dangle like the dreamtime

The children can weave through their toys,
Create a 3D Snakes and Ladders

A verticle plain bought for 2 bucks
Something not so beautiful

In fact it's not useful at all

Away it goes
To the Second Hand store

We won't be seeing that no more
