One step forward and two steps back😢

Where the homeless seek out shelter as wintery weather is abound

Whilst a wildness of windiness whistles such a wailing sound

And those down and outs find no solace coz there is none to be found..

These poor souls are lost amidst a problematic plight

Constantly cold huddled in a sleeping bag at night

Feeling nothing but frustration and a uselessness of contrite

One step forwards with two steps back is forever a familiar fight..
                              ~
So tonight as you lie snuggling in your bed

Spare some thoughts for those vagabonds on their weary tread

Without a safe haven nor a roof over the head
