Writing my love note
My hands shaking with nerves hoping my
Words of love show
 
I slip the pink notepad paper under your
Door
scurrying away so you won’t see me,
I duck and hit my car floor
 
The dream shifts and I’m in my home
Putting on a kettle of tea
Nervous, as I wait for the phone to ring
 
My dream always ends right there
Leaving me hot and breathless of air
