Only In My Memory

I thought we were meant to be, but that was only in my memory. Trying to find you so I could be free, trying to find my destiny, a love I thought God promised me, to find out it was only in my memory. How could you know the pain I feel? To know I can never see you again, to see you smile, to hear you laugh, everthing you gave her was suppose to be mine. I thought I found a part of me in you. What do I do with this love I feel for you? I still see your face in my dreams, I still call out your name, this love still holds me, but only when I love another then can I let go. I will always remember this part of me, for my poetry comes from thee, only in my memory.
