ONLY SEVENTEEN

Only seventeen when it was his turn to die
Family and friends are left to wonder why
All to live for well that's what it seems
Death put an end to those fanciful dreams

Self inflicted that's what the coroner will say
Don't let this happen to your son for this I pray
Drink, drugs or maybe a combination of the two
My friend be aware don't let this happen to you

Only seventeen neither a man or a boy
No longer on this earth for us to enjoy
