Poem -

open heart.

I took the night
gently
in my hands

Folding each corner
Like a napkin,

placing it
Within an envelope
Sealing it with
my lips kiss,

Upon it
I scattered
Our stars

Just so
you would see

In hopes
you would know
it was me,

The scent
of my perfume
Gracefully
Floating around
The surface

It is you
Who needs the
night now
More than I

It was always
there beneath
the sky

In those
hours dark
We made the
strongest love

In beautiful
dreams,

I've not
forgotten
About the night,

nor what
it means,

Each painful scar
Upon the pillow
alone I sleep,

I keep,

The moon
dwelling deepest
the heart
of me,

scattering stars
In hopes my love

one day
you will see

It was me
who gave you
back those dreams,

It is you
who needs the night
now more than I,

for I will
always remember

for you are
Always the sky,

I see you in everything,

within my heart
and open eye's.
