Poem -
~ OPEN YOUR SOUL ~
{a personal prayer}
Upon my knees
I shall go to the stream
To remove my many disguises...
Now, this day,
I have come to reveal myself
For the fool I am,
For the man I have been,
And beg
For understanding,
For it was there
In my nakedness
That the gods
First birthed me
Into this world
And, it is how I shall be presented
On judgment day,
It is the manner in which
I give and pray
That I will drink love in
With no disguises,
In flesh and blood alone,
And,
With a homemade purity
I will open my soul
To cosmic judgment,
And the penance,
I know,
I deserve...

Unfortunately we live in a world where we can only feel comfortable being ourselves in solidarity sometimes , very relatable write as I believe wether it’s intentional or unintentionally we all have fake personifications of who we think we need to be or how we want to be perceived. Excellent poetry as always Tony !
