Optimism

Optimism

There once was a little girl

Walking happily down the street

Then Death approached her and whispered

"I'll take all your food from you."

The girl only smiled and whispered back

"That's okay; I won't give you a day

My mother makes my meals anyway."

When the girl was 14, her parents divorced.

Her mind was buzzing with depression and sadness

Death approached her once more and said

"I'll take your parentsĀ from you."

The girl giggled and said back

"That's alright; I won't be dead

I'll live with others instead."

Years later, the girl was married

Death approached her again

And yelled,

"I'll murder your husband!"

She nodded slowly and said back

"If you do so death, I will grieve very much but,

I'll think you'll like my next one better" She whispered

Pointing to her stomach
