Our 4th Of July
Today America will celebrate, the day of its great birth;
But our house will be quiet, no laughter and no mirth!
We love our country, that’s for sure; we pledge allegiance every day;
But we can’t be happy as we used to be, for now, you’ve gone away!
You were the “real firecracker” in our lives; you burst into our scene;
And our hearts exploded with crimson love, like none we’d ever seen!
For thirteen years you sparkled bright, your banner we held high;
But then your flag ran out of wind, now at half-mast does it fly!
We lost you on a Monday night, the same one as today;
That’s why it’s so tough for us this year, to party and to play!
We’ll chant a mantra at your shrine, the “Star Spangled Banner”, we’ll sing too;
But this July fourth won’t be the same, for it’s happening without you!

Hi Debs,
Thank you so much for wishing us a happy 4th. We'll cry a little, but there will also be some laughter, because we have to make sure our other little soulmate, Cody, has a good time. By the way, it might be a day or two before we get it on, because we now have to catch up on our business which we neglected during the month of June, but I wrote a comment on that Dream Lover of yours. As we will have in America today, I think some real "fireworks", are coming your way. We wish you a wonderful 4th as well!
