Our absolute delight 🐿

I sensed there was something near us so I shushed my better halves loud chattering talk

When both of us just stood speechless in a silenced gawk

At a nervous little red Squirrel with eyes like a Hawk..

He anxiously looked at us with his bright, bold peepers

As we listened to a beautiful bird chorus from the Wooler common cheepers 

When I whispered to my Husband “If you blink then you will miss it and it will be losers weepers

Then from out of the blue our little furry friend scarpered away in haste like the experienced tree creepers..

But Oh what a joy this little fellow made our entire night

Nibbling on his nuts amidst the hushed twilight

A red solitary Squirrel is such a sensational sight
