Our annual ritual?

Santa is returning
Shop twinkly lights up one by one
Our annual ritual of buying Presents has once again begun

Children will be excited
As Xmas eve is drawing near
Parents standing in store queues
They don’t feel the Festive cheer

Nowadays it is a problem
Children have the lot
Alexa, mobile phone, bikes, tv’s
There’s nothing they haven’t got

A year it races Oh so fast
Just feels like months since
Last Christmas passed
Yet another one approaches aghast

Too much preparation to do
What to buy people you haven’t a clue
Ideas are flowing out of the blue
Your’e a mother so its up to you

No doubt you will manage
Everybody will have fun
Then New year tv ads will
Be tempting holidays in the sun
