Our little secret 🧚

Our little secret 🧚

I was watching my little one outside the window in our garden today

Though there was nobody in the vicinity, she was chattering away

And later on when I was bathing her I asked her about her play

When she looked at me with curiosity and I heard her say

“Mammy you have to promise me you will not tell anyone, if I say something”

Aww when she let me know her little inner secrets, well this made my heart sing

And I told her I would not tell another living soul what she was about to say, whispering

Then well I almost fell over when she said about the dancing daisy ring

“There is a ring of daisies where all of the Fairies and Pixies play”

“Please Mammy don’t you tell anyone about this or else they will fly away”

“They take me to their Fairyland each and every day”

And I crossed my heart and said “Chickadee I promise never to tell a single soul, your secret is safe with me forever come what may”

So my little hunnybun doesn’t talk to herself you see

Folklore lives in the bottom of our garden, they are as real as you and me

Dancing around the daisy ring, they all play with my Daughter happily

But “Sshhh please don’t you tell anybody, this has to be our little secret…wouldn’t you agree?”…
